Account Manager Germany
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Belgium, Signpost and Academic Software have specialized in IT solutions for the education sector.
In Belgium, we are active in the field of hardware, software, e-learning content and connectivity. In other countries, we focus on software solutions. we are the market leader in Belgium and are established in France, Germany, Turkey, the Nordics and Spain.
Academic Software acts as an intermediary for large software licenses such as Microsoft and Adobe. But we also offer hundreds of other software through their Academic Software platform. Academic Software is the platform where students and faculty can legally download the latest versions of the software they need for their courses. In addition to the range of paid software that we offer at very affordable prices, we also have a library of approximately 800 free software, and we offer cloud computing solutions as well.
We are growing strongly, and The UK is one of the markets with the growth potential.
To support the development of our activities in Germany, we are looking to hire an Account Manager.
What does your day as an ACCOUNT MANAGER look like?
You will prospect universities, colleges, and consortia. You will analyse their learning software needs and propose solutions. In the short term, you will be able to market Signpost's services and products and demonstrate how the Academic Software platform works.
You will answer technical questions on: the Academic Software platform, all software and online tools accessible from the platform
You are the local point of contact for clients (universities, colleges and consortia)
You will receive questions and requests from prospects and customers
You will ensure that questions and requests reach the appropriate internal department
You will follow the processing of questions and requests and you will transmit the answers to the client
You will give trainings on subjects concerning the Academic Software platform
You will gather information on the competition and market trends
You will also take care of the administrative tasks of tender procedure
As an ACCOUNT MANAGER you possess the following skills:
Bachelor or master’s degree in ideally, Computer Science or in Economics, or equivalent with a strong affinity to IT solutions
Entrepreneur profile, you are autonomous and used to long sales cycles
In-depth knowledge of educational software offerings is a plus
Technical-commercial experience in the sale of services
Communicative with good presentation skills and able to interact intelligently with an audience
Ready to travel frequently in Germany and sporadically in Europe
Be willing to follow a training course in Belgium
Fluent in English.
